Jason Citron Plans To Play Games After Leaving Discord
After stepping down as Discord’s CEO, Jason Citron plans to play Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Blue Prince during his break.
Three games were picked by Jason Citron to play after he left Discord.
Citron, who helped start Discord, stepped down as CEO. He has some free time now.
Plans were not made fully yet. But he shared that he wants to catch up on three games. He called them his "game debts."
"I have no big plans. I just want a break to spend time with my kids," Citron said.

A new CEO was named by Discord. Humam Sahnini, who once worked at Activision Blizzard, was chosen. Many users were not happy about it because of his past work with microtransactions.
Citron, though, is thinking about games. "I need to finish Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. I also want to play Blue Prince. I have not played Baldur’s Gate III yet," he said.
Giving up gaming was not considered by Citron. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a sequel to a famous game made by Square Enix. Baldur’s Gate 3 is loved by Dungeons & Dragons fans. Blue Prince is a mystery game where players search for a lost room.
In 2015, Discord was founded by Citron and Stanislav Vyshnevsky. In a blog post, Citron said he was "hiring himself out of work" to make way for new leaders. After ten years, his retirement was chosen.
Humam Sahnini will start as CEO on April 28. Growth is expected under his lead. Discord gave no extra comments. Reporters were pointed to Citron’s blog and his X posts. His exit is rare for tech founders. Mark Zuckerberg still leads Meta. Evan Spiegel still leads Snapchat.
